Lorien Health Services has remained a leader in senior care
since 1977. Senior care is something we tend to not think about until it
becomes absolutely necessary. Our care forward approach grows from our
communities consistently leading in care.
At some point in your life, you may experience a medical
event. When this occurs, your care forward changes, as this happens Lorien will
change and adapt a plan to fit your needs. The forward-thinking approach
embraced by employees gives the best care possible to every resident that enter
As a company, Lorien Health Services, has remained ahead of
the curve. We were the first skilled nursing chain to offer a ventilator unit
in-house, the first community to offer a combined skilled nursing and assisted
living building to help in the transition of care. For those who return home
after short-term care, we offer the ability to continue Lorien-level care with
Lorien at Home. We strive to reduce the number of hospital visits our residents
may need by offering an in-house telemedicine unit. Our therapy spaces offer
progressive equipment such as an Anti-Gravity treadmill, balance gyms,
synchrony speech technology, HUR equipment, and much more.
In addition to the technology Lorien offers our residents,
the programs and activities are innovative. Our Mays Chapel community hosts
Rock Steady Boxing for the community. This class helps those who are afflicted
with Parkinson's disease. At the Columbia and Mays Chapel communities have each
developed a Korean Unit. These units include foods, activities, and caregivers
that understand and know the language.
As a company that continues to think ahead, we strive to
anticipate what individuals may need in their care plans. Our CEO Lou Grimmel
thinks of himself as the next customer and wants our communities to mirror what
he would want if he were to need to stay in one. We look ahead and use
technology to help us advance and grow, so we've decided to embrace the new tagline
Lorien Health Services is constantly moving forward by seeking out, and adapting to, the ever-changing trends in healthcare technology as a means to maximize the quality of life for the people we serve.
