At Lorien, we believe in rehabilitation that raises your loved one's strength and spirits. Our multidisciplinary team includes a full range of therapy services: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Many locations offer specialized programs from therapists with advanced degrees and additional training or certifications. Our therapists will work with you to design your individualized treatment program to help you move forward throughout your goals.
Our core programs include treatments for Orthopedic, Cardiac, Pulmonary and Neurologic conditions. In addition, we offer specialty programs for lymphedema, Parkinson's Disease, Vestibular Disorders and more. Therapy is available seven days a week.
Sub-acute Rehabilitation, short-term, post-hospital care designed to help your loved one achieve their highest level of functional independence, is available with our professional therapists seven days a week. Our locations offer private and semi-private rooms. The goal is to get your loved one home. (Not offered at our Lorien Harmony Hall Assisted Living community.)
Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation
Outpatient rehab is available for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services. Every patient begins their treatment with a comprehensive evaluation, followed by an individualized plan of care based on their needs. Our rehab gyms feature specialized equipment including the HUR system, NuStep, SciFit, Balance Gym, Vital Stim, Theraband System in addition to standard modalities such as Ultrasound, Short Wave Diathermy and Electrical Stimulation.
Physical Therapy focuses on evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Your PT will use treatment techniques to promote mobility, strength, balance and safety while restoring function, reducing pain and preventing disability.
Occupational Therapy focuses on the performance of basic self-care skills such as dressing, grooming, bathing and other personal needs during activities of daily living. OT is recommended when your ability to care for yourself, live independently or participate in the community is interrupted by an injury or illness.
Speech Therapy focuses on voice quality, language, cognition, communication and swallowing disorders. An evaluation and treatment by a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) may be recommended when you have difficulty communicating or understanding others, have difficulty reading or understanding written words and/or have problems swallowing food or liquids.
