
Our Lorien Senior Rehabilitation Community in Taneytown, Maryland, is a 63 bed facility. We specialize in skilled nursing and rehabilitation. We assist with discharge planning and setting up services upon returning home.
We are a small rural community based in Northern Maryland. We are located 20 minutes from Westminster MD, 20 minutes from the PA line, 30 minutes from historic Gettysburg PA and outlet shopping.
Lorien Taneytown's Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit provide short-term rehabilitation with physical, occupational and speech therapy. We do specific treatment programs tailored to the residents needs and open communication is constant between disciplines for plan of care management so that residents can obtain their maximum potential. We do a cognitive linguistic program to prepare residents for self management at home for tasks like medication management, managing their checkbook and bill paying. The comprehensive program is designed to promote healing and provide the highest quality of life. These transitions can be difficult for both the patient and their family and our staff is here to help. In addition, our experienced interdisciplinary staff provides IV therapy, wound care, and hospice as well as having a dietician to help with dietary needs and education.
Our mission is to offer a comprehensive continuum of care to meet the changing needs of our residents. Through a variety of medical, social, and physical services, we strive to serve our population, and to help achieve the goal of maintaining the highest level of independence, at affordable prices. The safety and well being of our residents is always our primary concern.
