Security Guard: PRN-All shifts

Primary job responsibilities are as follows: To ensure resident safety and security within Harmony Hall Retirement Community. To act as a first response team in the event of an emergency.

Responsibilies:

• Monitor building entry for employees, residents, guests or visitors asking the appropriate questions and verifying appropriate ID's.
• Monitor security system consoles including apartment intercoms, alarm systems, closed circuit TV system and radio.
• Do security meal checks and necessary room checks.
• Answer telephones.
• Maintain and charge two-way radio system.
• Dispatch security officers, maintenance, and housekeeping personnel to appropriate areas when necessary.
• Monitor activities in the lobby to ensure all in secure.
• Contact physicians, family members, and public service workers (fire, police, ambulance) when necessary.
• Maintain record books, logs and information boards (Census book, Security Log Book, Employee Absence Log, Resident Storage Locker Log).
• Contact Administration or department heads if necessary.
• Perform any necessary function as requested by the Director or Administration.
