Regular Events for Residents:
Fitness is an important part of wellness and enjoying life, and we
are committed to encouraging good health!
Exercise Class is held in the Eden Room on Mondays and Wednesdays at
9:45am, and the Stand Up Balance Class on Friday afternoons at
2:00pm in the Eden Room. Another opportunity for exercise can be
found in the 1st Floor TV room, where residents can play with the
popular Wii virtual sports system. Assisted Living residents gather
for bowling most Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings and Nursing Center
residents play most Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Other Wii games
include golf, fencing, tennis and boxing. Nursing Center Residents
are encouraged to participate in the Morning Stretch at 10:00 am
Monday through Thursday.
Various groups also play cards during the week: a new group is
playing Bridge on Wednesdays at 2:00pm, and a couple of tables of
Kings in the Corner can be found playing in the Ice Cream Parlor
most evenings. Feel free to join in or start your own game!
Several opportunities for spiritual exercise are available on a
regular basis as well. St. Michaels Catholic Church holds services
on Sunday mornings at 10:30am, and a non-denominational protestant
service is held on Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm. The Mt. Airy Bible
Church comes to lead worship on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, and a
Methodist Service is held regularly on the second Friday of the
month at 10:30am. All services are held in the Eden Room on the
third floor of the Assisted Living.
