Lorien Health was founded in 1977 by Nicholas Mangione, a successful businessman with a strong sense of pride, dignity, and work ethic. Our long-term goal is to help seniors heal, rehabilitate, and maximize their quality of life, either in our facilities or in their own homes. Today, our Chief Executive Officer is Lou Grimmel, who is committed to maintaining Mr. Mangione's vision of always putting the patient first and keeping his good family name.
We currently operate ten communities in Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard Counties. We are working hard to expand our company and services based on the needs of our patients. We are also proactively making the investments necessary to deliver optimal care: facility renovations and updates are ongoing, to ensure that every Lorien community feels like home. We have invested in higher-quality beds to reduce the prevalence of bed sores, top-of-the-line therapy equipment, and even a community trolley to transport our residents in style. These are just a few of the things we have done to demonstrate our commitment to perfecting the Lorien experience, not just for our residents, but for our staff as well.
