Thank you for taking the time to check us out. Our Lorien Columbia Skilled Nursing Community is located in the established community of Columbia, just 20 miles south of Baltimore. As you approach Lorien Columbia, you will see a beautiful facility nestled in the trees along Cedar Lane close to Route 32. New residents are greeted by our friendly and caring staff, which makes them feel at home immediately.

Lorien Columbia encompasses a wide array of services all under one roof to serve our large Skilled Nursing Community in Columbia, Maryland. Long-term care units are provided for those who may need a longer stay with the ability to handle complex medical needs. We have a designated Medical Specialty Unit to offer ventilator and trachea care for short and long term stays. Lorien Columbia also offers in-house dialysis for both in-patient and outpatient care.

Lorien Columbia's Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Units provide short-term rehabilitation with physical, occupational and speech therapy. The comprehensive program is designed to promote healing and provide the highest quality of life. These transitions can be difficult for both the patient and their family and our staff is here to help. In addition, our experienced interdisciplinary staff provides IV therapy, wound care, medication management, hospice and respite care as well as having a dietician to help with dietary needs and education. We now have IN-HOUSE DIALYSIS in order to further meet the increasing health care needs in Howard County and beyond. Just another way to help you live life to the fullest.

"My Mom spent 20 days at Lorien for Rehab in February 2011. I feel that this facility is a 'far cry' from other Rehab centers (know this - been there DONE that!) over the last 10-15 years! Their P.T. and O.T. staffs are some of the best that I have seen (in practice)! The rooms are cleaner and more well cared for than most!! For me it is one of the best in Baltimore County!"
